We're blair and erika WATERS, a mother-daughter team from the virgin islands, now based in brooklyn and maine.
erika has a ph.d in post-colonial literature, specializing in recovery research in women's literature, and was the founding editor of the caribbean writer, a literary magazine from the university of the virgin islands, where she is professor emeritus. she has received grants from the national endowment for the humanities, the tulsa center for the study of women's literature, and was a fulbright scholar to finland. She now divides her time between Maine and Florida and is the author, most recently, of Discovering Old Florida: A Guide to Vintage south and Central Florida.
